This artwork is dedicated to the class of 2020. It feels like their year has been stolen from them, which it has, but they have not given up. There is a bright future ahead of them. I drew a person amidst a giant moon which represents how small we are compared to the vast future ahead of us. There is so much potential in the future and so much more to discover in life. There are so many more chapters of life yet to be uncovered and great things lie ahead of us.

In celebrating the class of 2020, I drew graduation caps in front of a purple/pink sky with a rocket flying through. The rocket would be a representation of the journey that any senior is taking. Such a journey is already partially complete, so this is not a launching of the rocket but a continuation into the next chapter for the graduating seniors. Despite the lack of an actual graduation, the seniors deserve no less recognition for their achievements, so I also wanted to note that.

This piece was created for the Class of 2020 as a T-Shirt design. The cap in the image is turning to dust to represent the lack of a proper graduation. It is used in conjunction with the phrase “no cap” because no cap is a term that roughly translates from slang to “for real” or “no lie.” The use of “no cap” therefore both conveys the realness of the class of 2020 and the lack of graduation. The dissapearence also shows how we’re leaving the school. It’s been real CCA but imma have to head out.
Artist: Calvin P. |
After three failed attempts at drawing this on paper, I realized that doing this piece digitally would allow me more flexibility and creativity. The graduation cap that I drew includes a color gradient that goes from yellow to dark red/purple, and back to yellow. I did this in order to mimic a sunrise and a sunset. The top of the hat is a sunrise, and in white writing, I wrote/drew the happy things that defined the beginning of senior year. The bottom is a sunset, and I included icons and words that represented our experiences in the second half of the year during COVID-19. Most importantly, I included the words "strong" and "hopeful," because the huge obstacles we have had to face this year have strengthened us, and we are coming out of this with optimism for the future.
Artist: Haley P. |
This drawing is based off our school mascot the raven. I also included a quote from our school's writing the gym. This drawing is dedicated to our Ravens of 2020 moving on. I put a lot of time and work into my drawing. I choose to do this because I love drawing animals and it works well with the theme.

To all graduating seniors, I hope that my artwork can portray the final emotions that seniors may have as they move on into college. For shading my artwork, I used a brush and created hatching and cross-hatching lines. I also drew random brush strokes for creases on the graduation robe. Even though this pandemic prevents seniors to attend a normal graduation ceremony, I wish all of them success and congratulations in completing high school!
Artist: Rosanne P. |
If my artwork was in a gallery I would want people to think one can still graduate in this pandemic. My drawing is dedicated for all the seniors in high school who are about to graduate soon. For this drawing I used felt Copic markers, black ink pigma pens, and white pain markers. I wish all seniors congratulations for making it this far. Even though this pandemic is preventing every senior to have a proper graduation ceremony I wish them good luck for their next step in life.
Artist: Joanna P. |
In my artwork I included graduation caps in the air to show that the class of 2020 did graduate. I drew a raven to represent school spirit. i also added many inspirational quotes about the future. even though there senior year wasn’t how they expected it will be ok. I wrote stay strong cca to reassure that it is just one moment in time.

I would like the viewers to see the multiple elements in this artwork. I would like them to make the best of their graduation. And even through tough times, the success of their achievements is incredible. This artwork represents comfort and a sense of relief as they passed through a big moment in their lives, with familiar objects laying around. It is a warm congratulations to the graduates of 2020.

I created this drawing to celebrate the class of 2020. The person in red resembles all of our seniors walking into a new crowd of people after graduation. They still stand out and forever shine as their future is so bright and full of potential. On their journey, the raven will always follow them, sometimes hidden between people, but it will always be there, protecting all of the class of 2020. There may not be a traditional ceremony where the names of each senior are called and recognized, but they already gained recognition and appreciation from everyone through their hard work in the past four years, and things will only get better in this new chapter of their lives.
Artist: Eecho Y. |
For this assignment I decided to use half of the paper to paint what a graduation has looked like for the past decades outside with everyone throwing their caps. The image on the right shows how seniors are graduating this year. I don't really know how CCA is going to hold their graduation this year but, I just painted seniors throwing their caps towards the ceilings of their room on a google meet chat. Even though they are not physically with their class mates they could still see them on this call. Im sure it is very tough for seniors this year, but they are strong enough to make the best out of this situation.

I want my viewers to know that time can go by so fast. For the class of 2020, the important parts of our senior year was taken away, but we managed. This artwork is supposed represent our childhood to now, bringing back the memories of our lives before we move to the next chapter.
Artist: Vanessa V. |
If my artwork were hanging in a gallery, I would want people to know that I made it for the graduating class of 2020. I included red and black since Canyon Crest Academy has a red and black raven as the mascot. There is a banner in the back, balloons, and a graduation cap. I want to wish good luck to the seniors! I used paint to make this painting.

Since it's now turning to summer, and school is coming to a close I wish everyone out there a good and happy summer. Despite the current pandemic and protestors around the world, I wanted to make everyone something that they would smile at without having to worry about anything else. The sky is one of them, and I thought a sunrise would do well.

I made this piece of artwork to show that 2020 will still continue on. Although it hasn't been the nice year everyone dreamed for, 2020 has been a controversial year, let alone a year to let many down. However, I believe we should continue on, and believe that this horrible year will turn into a good one. So don't pause this year and keep it as a bad one, or skip past it. We should all work on it to make it better! With everyone's help, the world can be a better place. Keep your hopes up and have a good summer.
Artist: Brooke L. |
For this project I decided to use pens. I wanted more of an illustrative yearbook looking design. I stuck with the theme of red and black and incorporated the raven to represent cca. I tried to make the letters look 3d and complex. I had fun designing this and I hope the seniors enjoy it too.

I hope that viewers that see my art think about what chapter of life they are in. For me, this piece was a bit nostalgic to draw because high school has passed me by, I have only one more year. I want viewers to know that even though you may be venturing into the next chapter, it does not mean that you must forget the beginning of the story. I have realized that this pandemic is an addition to my book. I will always reflect on it, and I hope I reflect on the good times. There is so much to a story and I know that this is only adding to mine. I am honestly sad that I missed out on my junior year and on my classes, but I know that I now have a unique story. This was definitely not how I expected Drawing & Design to go, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I hope you have a great summer Ms. Moran.

Class of 2020 Congratulations!! For my drawing I draw a graduating senior with mask in front of laptop even tho they are not gone graduate like that but in some school they gone graduate like to so I draw it in the laptop and it's easier, in our school I think they are doing drive through and it was hard from me to draw that. 2020 has been difficult year I hope our graduating senior get through this and a lot more to come. Good luck graduating seniors!

I wanted to do something that included everything that happened in 2020 so far. I feel like it contributed to the stress of school, which made graduating that much harder. I originally was planning on making it look like a computer screen with different “screens” showing what happened in each month. However, I decided to do a computer (for the stay at home school) with little icons of everything that happened coming out.
Artist: Kyra R. |
With watercolor, I created a poster for the Class of 2020. It shows Mr. Killeen in the center since he's our Principal, and some inspiring words around him. I put the 2020 behind him to make it more interesting for the viewer. I tried to use lots of color to make it appealing to the eye and also used different fonts for the words, including a text-message-like font. Have fun and good luck to the Class of 2020!

If my artwork was in a museum or a gallery I would want people to remember the challenges the class of 2020 went through and everything they were denied. This artwork is a celebration of them and I think by putting people in the stands of my artwork shows that they aren’t alone. By incorporating the soccer field into my art it gives our class a look at the school they have made so many memories with. While most other schools have football fields I think tweaking the field to show it is a soccer field gives it a unique homey feel. Congrats to the class of 2020 and I hope this art piece can inspire them like they have inspired us.

The senior year of the class of 2020 was cancelled due to coronavirus. They miss out on all the activities they have been waiting along time for, prom, graduation etc. The seniors that I got to meet helped me and it made joining the cca community and getting used to everything so much easier. The seniors have the worst of this as they miss the ceremony of all the hard work the last 4 years. Best of luck to the Senior class of 2020!
Artist: Andrew S. |
In my artwork, I had lots of different signs that were each in various colors. The signs symbolize the paths seniors will take after high school. They all have different things written on them, but they're all colorful. I used bright colors to express joy in my artwork. Furthermore I wanted the artwork to look overall just very carefree to remind seniors to not stress themselves in their future. Enjoying the process is the most important.
Artist: Katie W. |
This last quarter of school did not end as planned and many events were cancelled. The changes were especially hard on graduating seniors as they missed many fun activities and experiences before leaving high school. For my drawing, I drew a raven, which represents the Class of 2020. They have made it through many hardships that come with high school, which is represented by the darker colors. Graduation is both a sunset and a sunrise, as it is the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Many seniors are leaving home to go off on their own to college, which will definitely bring new obstacles. I wish you all the best Class of 2020!

Yesterday, I watched a short clip of a very famous actress in Korea talking about some life-experiences to graduating seniors in a classroom, and something about her story really stuck to me. Before fame, Yoo-In-Na (her name) was a no-name small time musical actress; one time, a company took interest in her after one audition and hired her for a musical performance as a double for the four main characters( if one of them were unavailable, she would take their place). No matter how much she tried to get along with others, In-Na was given the cold shoulder because of the “special treatment” she was given by the company (allowed to be a double without going through a series of auditions). For the whole four months, she learned all the staging-techniques and memorized her extremely long lines by herself; in the end, the four main characters never had to take a leave so In-Na never even got to perform in the first place. At the party celebrating the musical’s end, a senior performer who had always ignored her said,” keep going, In-Na. This is how you do it, and I know you can.” To an outsider’s view, the fact that all her hard preparation as a double was never put in the spotlight seems pitiful, but In-Na said “ the acknowledgment I received at the end made the experience very special to me. I was motivated to keep trying, even though I was 26 at the time, which is considered quite old in the Korean entertainment industry to start a career.” Yoo-In-na is now one of the most well-known and successful kdrama actresses. In my drawing, I drew daffodil flowers because our seniors will now face a vast flower field of new beginnings( the meaning of the flower), and therefore meet wonderful new people from various backgrounds and venture further into the sea of opportunities. Remember, at the end of every dark tunnel, there’s an opening of light!

My work was inspired by the landscape around CCA. During the winter I would see really pretty sunsets on the horizon. I tried to recreate that from my memory. I felt like the best way to remember CCA was to capture nice moments there. I hope that it brings some joy to this year’s seniors.
Artist: Annika B. |
As all birds must leave their nest, I wanted to congratulate the seniors of 2020 by depicting the departure of multiple ravens from CCA. I did this by painting a raven with graduation cap to obviously represent the seniors that are leaving schools. I would want this piece to be a reminder to any senior who sees it that they will always be ravens. If every CCA senior saw this, I’d want to make their departure from CCA more memorable through my art, especially because they haven’t had a proper ceremony yet. I also wanted to convey the freedom that many of them might feel to start a new chapter in their life by drawing the ravens flying in the back.
Artist: Lucas H. |
Even though seniors may not be able to have the big graduation day that they very much deserved, they will always know that they worked incredibly hard to get where they have today and that during the next four years of their life they are going to meet new people and find new things that they’ll love to do. Don’t let one thing like missing graduation stop you from getting to where you want to be.

For this assignment, I dedicated my piece to CCA seniors. I painted 5 ravens on a cherry blossom branch with cherry blossoms around them. I wanted the piece to give viewers feelings of serenity. There is a raven preparing to fly to signify seniors leaving CCA and going to college. I feel sorry that the seniors had to miss fun activities like senior week, prom, and a graduation so I wanted my piece to try to bring calm feelings. To create this piece, I used watercolor on an 11 inch by 4 inch piece of paper.

The pice that I submitted was a mural on my door. You might remember that I had submitted the sunflowers for a previous piece. Well I start working on the mural the first week of quarantine. Every day I would sketch ideas and work a little more. I made it simply to add a little light to my time in quarantine. I think it really paid off.
Artist: Marley W.P. |
I’d want them to see what it represents. It’s not just a drawing of someone graduating. It’s the graduation that they missed out on. That it may be sad but they need to embrace those sad feelings to fully let go of it and move on. To know that this has saddened many students around the world.
Artist: Jagger B. |
In my artwork, I drew a Raven wearing a graduation cap to commemorate the Class of 2020. To add a little humor, I substituted the zeros in “2020” with toilet paper rolls. As a senior myself, this was not at all how I expected graduation to turn out. While our unusual circumstances are enough to make this year memorable, I still wanted to create a drawing that congratulated all my classmates. I wish all my graduating classmates success as they enter this new chapter of their lives!
Artist: Niki H. |
I wanted to do something that would show the message I was trying to portray. Since graduation was so different for the class of 2020, I wanted to try to show that my artwork. A lot of things have been happening around the world so this year is going differently for all the seniors. The main point of artwork is the mask, it was to show how things were around the world and how it effected the seniors on their last year.
Artist: Hila K. |
Congrats to the class of 2020! I wanted my piece of artwork to be simple, but bright so I used a variety of colors to make it happy and exciting. The Cap is decorated with blue glitter and there are messages on the paper to show your success. A bright future is waiting ahead for you. Good luck Seniors!!
Artist: Amelia M. |
This artwork was meant to be as positive as possible for the outgoing seniors. I included various university logos to make an optimistic outlook on next year. With all the chaos surrounding corona, this was meant to show that there is something positive at the end of all of this. I communicated that because, as a sophomore, I can only imagine what it's like when your graduation/prom/etc. is taken away. I wanted to make the seniors feel like all of their hard work in high school really does pay off in the end.
Artist: Liam R. |
I’d want people to know that the graduating class of 2020 was a great class. The 2020 seniors deserved a graduation. But unfortunately it was canceled due to coronavirus. I’d also like them to know that my coolest cousin, Isiah graduated in the top 10% if his school. Good job, Isiah.
Artist: Ariana T. |
I made this peace of artwork to help congratulate senior students for graduating high school and starting the next step of their lives. The bright colors are used to grab the viewers attention while also allowing the artwork to stand out. The objects like the party hats and balloons allow for the artwork to create a party atmosphere. Also the objects like the toilet paper and the tv represent how the senior graduation this year is during quarantine. Because of how there are party objects and quarantine objects the artwork shows that happiness can come out of quarantine.
Artist: Ryan Z. |
I want the class of 2020 to remember that their roads still lie ahead of them, they just happen to be at a very long stoplight. This was not how you wanted it, but now that you are here, take a moment to appreciate what’s around you. You are the people that will make it through your hardships and come out the other side ready to change the world. For this piece, I decided to experiment with paper. By layering different colors, I was able to get a cool effect that looks crisp and clean.
Artist: Lilly C |
The base of my drawing is the numbers 2020 in block form. On the first 2, there is a grad cap on it, to represent graduation, with a tassel on the left side. The 0 is made into a phone, to represent online learning, with a wifi signal on top of it. The last 0 is a computer, also representing online learning. It has a classroom on it, showing what a class usually looked like. Lastly, there is a diploma below all of this.
Artist: Chris D. |
In my drawing, I have used 5 different colors because any of these colors represent the hope that I want to give to these seniors. First one, means graduated to a good college or the ideal college in their heart. Second one I wish they could be a strong adult as they left high school, to stand out themselves and be powerful. Third one I wish they could be successful in their heart because whether you are success or not it is in you to determine this. Fourth is I wish they could all be kind person and treated other people friendly. Last but not least, I wish they could be a nice person to be nice for everyone with no exception. This is my drawing's meaning. Since this is the last project I will be doing for this class, I want to say thank you to Ms.Moran for taking care and teach me through. Thank you so much and hope you are doing well!

This drawing is dedicated to celebrating the CCA class of 2020. I drew a graduation cap with the name of one of Dr. Seuss' book, "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" The message I wanted to convey through this drawing is that the graduating seniors will go on to achieve amazing things wherever they go. Although seniors are unable to attend a proper graduation ceremony, I wish them all the best in the future. Lastly, I want to say congrats to the Class of 2020.

My artwork is dedicated to the CCA Class of 2020. The hand in the middle represents our school, and the balloons represent the Class of 2020. The background consists of the rising/falling sun, which can mean dusk, the end of high school times, or dawn, the beginning of college times. Although this year, the graduation ceremony is canceled, I still want others to see the celebration through my artwork (especially the confetti). Their high school journey has ended, so I truly wish them good luck in the next chapter of their lives!
Artist: Angela Z. |
My drawing for the CCA Class of 2020 is supposed to be a diploma that showcases some of the highlights of going to CCA. I drew some of the scenery around CCA, and tried to add things about the school. I added the raven as the stamp on the diploma, added some of the sports here at CCA, and all of the language classes on the side. I also added some of the popular music of the last 4 years, as well as some of the places in the nearby shopping mall. I hope this can remind seniors of the great memories they made at CCA.
Artist: Evan Z. |
I wanted to celebrate the class of 2020 by having something symbolic to a graduation. In my painting, I have caps thrown in the air. I also have a big 2020 in the middle painted with CCA's school colors. I wanted to keep it simple and classic because that's what graduation is about. I wanted the 2020 in the middle to show that this year is still the year that seniors graduate, even if they don't have the traditional ceremony.
Artist: Paige F. |
Since this is my last assignment, I still wanted to stick with the black and white pencil theme I was going on. I really wanted to make my cartoonish drawings better. This time I drew Xayah, a character in a game I play. She is part bird so I thought it’d match the raven theme of our school. She has a graduation gown and cap on and she’s ready to graduate!
Artist: Natalie C. |
I used ballpoint pen to draw this piece. In this piece I wanted to capture the excitement there is for seniors who are graduating. I also wanted to show the idea that seniors who are graduating should feel proud of themselves. I believe that this excitement is still there in the midst of the current situation. I also wanted to show the idea that seniors have a bright future ahead of them. I did this by including some stars in the background.
Artist: Ruchira H. |
During hard times like now, current seniors are forced to miss out on events like prom, and physically getting to graduate. They are unable to graduate and take pictures with friends. They even miss out on saying their last good byes to their favorite teachers and staff. When people see my artwork, I want them to feel hopeful and supportive of the graduating seniors. I want them to send lots of good luck and wish them well in creating long lasting relationships with new people. In my piece, I used the CCA school colors (red, black, and white) to say congrats. I also drew some graduation caps being thrown up in the air to show success and completion.
Artist: Mya H. |
This piece was created to commemorate the Class of 2020. During these times, everyone, but especially seniors have gone through difficult times. I drew toilet paper because it has been the mascot of this pandemic. I also drew a sunset/sunrise to represent the end of their time in high school, but also a sunrise to represent the next chapter in their lives.
Artist: Dillan Y. |
If my artwork was hanging in a gallery and someone walked by it I would want them to think about the quotes I have put up. I want them to wonder what the quotes mean. And what they could mean in life. What situations that the quote could be used in. And who they are being used toward.
Artist: Ethan Z. |
This art piece was inspired by the change in graduation ritual that we will be going through. Although it may not be as exciting, I happy to finally be done with high school. 2020 has been a hectic year for us all so school is one more thing off of the plate. Hopefully our Junior class will be able to have the awesome graduation that we missed out on.
Artist: Zane S. |
The art was drawn in no.2 pencil on art sketchbook paper, then put through some photo editing and filters. The color was also done digitally (the other submitted picture is the one without color). I don't know many seniors, but the ones I do know are friendly, nice people in general. I hope they have awesome times in college. Congrats on your graduation! Thank you for your time at this school, and good luck in your life after leaving CCA.
Artist: Liana X. |
Going into making this assignment I wanted to capture something that wasn't too cliche. I wanted to express a fleeting yet significant moment a high school senior might experience. The moment where students, in their gowns, toss up their caps became the moment I chose to illustrate. I thought it was befitting as a still standing moment, as just for a split second everyone's caps freeze in the air before coming back down. It made me think of as how a high school graduate is somewhere in between leaving high school after 4 years and is on to the next part of their life, graduation reminds me of that and how it might feel freeing yet possibly scary.
Artist: Angelina O. |
Graduation is just the beginning of a new journey and one milestone of your life's journey. I want to let my fellow seniors know that our future is still looking bright, even if it may not seem like it now. We're just starting off on our map of life, as depicted in the painting, so look forward to the future and cherish the experiences and memories that we have had in CCA!
Artist: Zoë C. |
As a monument to the seniors of 2020, this was a harsh year. I decided to make a design that empowered them. I wanted to keep it relatively simple to open the possibility to use as a design for a shirt or poster to commemorate their strength. I used tools in Illustrator to design the schools name into the silhouette of a raven's head, and chose a tagline of "strongest seniors" for the alliteration and to remind them that even though many opportunities were lost this year due to COVID-19, they are strong for making it through.
Artist: Keller E. |
I would want someone to know that this artwork depicts a graduating senior with the classic graduation cap. However, since the seniors this year graduated during Covid, the person also has a face mask on. I would want the person to read the message on the cap. It states "You did it!.. Covid cant take that away from you!"
Artist: Haley F. |
Since I myself am a senior this year, I chose to go with the classic Raven of CCA. Red ribbons/flames border the logo and read CCA 20'. Inside the raven is a galaxy/stars, representing the worlds beyond our own we have yet to discover, and our goals bigger than us we aim to achieve. Congratulations to my peers, and never forget those who made this journey possible. As the high school experience comes to a close, aim for the stars and let's open a new chapter in our lives!
Artist: Lars G. |
I created this work by making a line drawing on paper of the raven and the words, then photographing the drawing and importing it to photoshop. I added details to the raven digitally and filled in the words using red tones, as I wanted my piece to incorporate CCA's school colors. I chose to use the image of the raven taking flight as well as the phrase "fly high" because it reminded me of the metaphor of a young adult taking flight / leaving the nest of their home as they grow up and find their own way in the world.
Artist: Sonja R. |
Often when graduating High School we leave something behind, the CCA campus at the least and the country, state, region at most. Of course this is not a bad thing, it shows that we are moving onward and the past memories can merge into a guiding and nostalgic force. In this artwork I wanted to analyze this nostalgia, and how our memory remembers specific events and places, but often not the relations or time between them. I drew a map to reference how our collective experience emcompasses many things, but unlike a map we don't have an impartial bird's eye view. Rather we actively live in the land it emcompasses, and our biases of living close or frequently visiting claim cca, the village, highlands, and proximate vacation spots as more important. As time passes, we can't remember how our lives function chronologically that well, rather with our scattered memories we construct a cozy but cubist nostalgia. This is why many locations are notably more distinct and larger on the map, different locations seem more important to the geography as they were more important to you. Perhaps in the future you and your friend will disagree on how long the drive is from the highland to CCA, or the location of seating, the taste of school lunches; our memories paint different stories about the past, but undeniably they have shaped who we are.
Artist: Chase V. |
This is a rather simple drawing compared to my others. I incorporated laid back lines and simple shapes. I had the intention of portraying my art like a simple high school doodle. However, the girl graduating is not entirely part of the paper itself. She is slowly coming to life and moving off the paper. This symbolizes the end of their high school career and the beginning of their new lives and the start of their dreams.
Artist: Megan W. |
For this type of senior sendoff project I wanted to ease the sense of finality that comes with ending high school. To do this I put question marks over the faces of each figure in the piece to communicate the idea that their futures an themselves are still undecided. In a sense they are still kids and have much to learn beyond high school to become truly adult individuals. Of course I also added the upper text questioning the seniors about what kind of people they’ll become. I also tried to emphasize the youth of the figures especially in their clothing to show that they have yet to be fully grown.
Artist: Gilmer W. |
I decided to draw a graduation cap and a mask for this assignment to celebrate the class of 2020. The cap has a tassel with a dove that represents hope and that they are flying off to the next parts of their lives. The mask is bright and colorful to remind the class of 2020 that even though this year wasn’t what they expected, they should make the most of it and stay positive.
Artist: Karina A. |
If my art was in a gallery i would want people to know that even though they are done with high school they aren’t done within life yet. they have so much ahead of them, like college, a job, a future relationship, and a family when they are older. Life will be getting much harder after high school so i wish the best of luck to everyone.
Artist: Emily C. |
What I’d want my viewers to know as they are looking at it is the vision I had for the art work. I wanted to start with a freshman going into a door and coming out from the 4 years of high school into graduation. I used a raven for the school mascot and started it off smaller to a graduating raven. There are fireworks in the back to show the celebrating of graduation. Also, the years are for starting high school to the end.
Artist: Samantha D. |
For this drawing I decided to capture the concept of a crossroads. I drew a person walking down a path. I used this to represent the idea of a journey which in this context is an academic/life journey. I drew the path going off in two main directions with the subject going in one. I tried to keep both the shapes and the shading relatively simple.

I would like to wish all of the seniors that are graduating from high school a great time in collage and a great life after that. My hope for the seniors is that their graduation will be just as fulfilling and relieving just as if it were to be a normal graduation. I hope that they are able to enjoy their upcoming years in collage and hopefully they will find something that they would want to pursue a career in. While this quarantine is going on I hope that all of the seniors are still able hang out with their friends and spend as much time as possible with them before they all go to collage. To the seniors I wish them the best of luck in their future and congratulations on making it this far through school.

I decided to draw a raven for this assignment. We are part of the CCA Ravens after all, and my brother is going to graduate very soon. For the 2020 seniors, they asked that people made posters saying "2020 vote" to remind them to vote and to make a difference in the world. So, I made the poster for my brother (since he didn't really want to make it). I wanted to incorporate the drawing of the raven into it, to help honor the class of 2020.

In my artwork I painted a sunrise and a trail to the sunrise. I wanted this to symbolize the class of 2020's future and that even though the right now times are harder and different they still have a bright (the sun) future. I also wanted the sunrise to symbolize that this is only the start of their futures, like a sunrise.

To the seniors. The end of a journey is never easy. Maybe these four years passed in an instant. Maybe these four years felt more like forty. Though your physical presence may disappear from CCA, the memories you have and the imprints you left will remain. You have changed lives. You have changed your own life. The curtains descend on this chapter of your course, but it is only the first act and the show must go on. The end of one adventure is only the beginning of the next. And it’s time to take the next step.

For this one I decided to draw a familiar character to those who have played dark souls. I did a simple pencil sketch with minimal detail. The knights name was Artorias and I had two reason to draw him. First I was inspired by his story how he marched strait into danger without a care for himself to save a civilization on the brink of collapse, sacrificing himself in order to halt the spread of a deep and dark evil never looking back. Which with a huge leap could be related to how seniors are heading into the real world now wether that be college or a job facing it bravely as they head to their future. But the second reason which was the main reason was that his helmet on top of the hood looked kinda like a bird and I equated bird with ravens head.

This artwork gives tribute to the class of 2020. This artwork emphasizes the strength of the graduates through the Canyon Crest Academy logo. I drew a graduation cap to show the perseverance of seniors to begin a new journey. I drew the 2020 in 3D to show the depth and complexity of the events that happened during the year. I hope that this artwork will remind the graduating class to be bold for the challenges ahead.

The seniors this year are facing a new challenge: their time was cut short and their final year was taken from them with no warning. The future seems dark and daunting, but really it holds endless possibilities. There is so much to do in such little time, so go out there a take it on.

I wanted to draw someone in a graduation cap and gown. I have always wanted to try to do a continuous line drawing, so I tried it. I took me many many many tries to get it right, but I finally got it. I empathize with the seniors for not getting a graduation. I wish them all the best in college or where ever they may be going.
